My mom died in 2001 and her home was left me, my sister and my brother. My sister and I live in New York, and my brother lives in North Carolina. My sister and I wanted to sell the home but my brother wanted to keep the home so he suggested paying me and my sister off so the home would be his. Not being legal savy and because this is my brother we agreed and signed over our rights to the home. To this date we have not received any payment from him. I would like to know what leal rights do we have being we signed over the house and how can we go about trying to get our money from him.
