Vandalism of over $400 can be either a felony or a misdemeanor. As a felony, it carries up to 3 years in custody. That's not to say you would ever get that, but that is what you face. If it's filed as a misdemeanor, you're looking at up to a year in jail. How long would you get? That depends on the facts of the case, your record (if any), whether restitution has been paid or not and what your attorney can work out on your behalf. There may be a diversion, civil compromise or other way to avoid a conviction, but you'll have to meet an attorney face to face to discuss what your options might be. Time for a lawyer.
