what happens with a property when the morgage holder dies and there is no other /resources from that person' estate to pay the mortgage off? Can the beneficieries continue to pay the mortage of does it go into probate?

Then the mortgage holder dies the debt becomes a debt of the estate. It will have to be paid off by estate assets. The beneficiaries can definitely agree to pay the mortgage, however, it will still go into probate.
