My former employer is refusing to pay me my last paycheck (after being fired) because she said there is no "paper evidence" that I even worked . I was a salary employee. Is that legal?

Pursuant to the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act, the employer is required to pay the final compensation at the time of separation, or by your next payday. What she is doing is unlawful and she may be personally liable for any damages provided by the Act. Talk to an attorney or contact Illinois Department of Labor.
