Question

I was in a car accident on March 23rd, 2011. I had one passenger in the car. We sought and found a lawyer to handle everything for us. We went to a chiropractor a few times and stopped, I stopped mainly cause I didn't have a ride. We requested him to start the settlement process. My question is can I still seek treatment if the case isn't settled? I have asked him and he says that it's difficult to say and hasn't been really helpful at this point. I haven't been in contact for about 2 or 3 months now. My neck pain has flared up now a year later and would like to go for treatment. Also I wanna ask if my lost wages can be recovered. We're talking about $7000. And he says that it doesn't count because they paid me out for the total of my car. From my knowledge my insurance paid for it

Paying for the car is for the property damage aspect of your case and is a different component than lost wages so if you were off work due to the accident you can recover for the time off of work. The fact that you only went to a chiro a few times is not good for your case and in my opinion this has reduced the value of your settlement. If you are not happy with your attorney, find another one as your attorney should be guiding you through your case, not someone on the internet.
