My friend just got a DWI in NY but he tested .05 (under the limit). I know he will still get charged but what can he expect as far as the charges being reduced/dropped? He also got caught with a small amount of marijuana. Should he spend the money on a lawyer or will a PD be able to handle this just as well? He left with his license, does this mean he has a good chance of not having his license suspended? Thanks.
