I have been a client of Stange Law Firm and Matt Wideman's for 16 months and have paid them tens of thousands of dollars. The end result, I'm still "almost" divorced and the bills keep coming. This firm touts their attorney accessibility however the reality is they only care about billable hours, not the client. They hire young lawyers who leave mid case and have no clout with local judges. After Matt Wideman left the firm and a new attorney was assigned he was so unprepared that a court hearing would have been missed had I not advised him. The court ruled that I had to pay $3,300 in opposing counsel/GAL fees resulting from the delay in submitting our parenting plan and Form 14, due 3 weeks after we reached an agreement in court on the record. It took so long a motion to enforce the agreement was granted and Opposing Counsel's plan and Form 14 were accepted with no changes or modifications from our side. I now have a judgement that does not even reflect what we AGREED to on the record, even their lawyer assigned to "work it out" was unable to find and excuse for that. Once my divorce is final further legal action against Stange Law Firm will deservedly follow. Do not engage this firm. Feel free to email me for details if you are considering them, my story will guarantee you don't.... Posted by : Justin   On: 21 Aug 2015

This guy is crazy. I would be weary when hiring him or even associating with him at all. He has a history of stalking and harassment. Don't let him into your life or make him privy to any of your personal information. Posted by : Scared For The Safety Of Others   On: 02 Nov 2015

Initially, he seemed to be alright to us because we did not know what to do in our case. But, it quickly became apparent that he was only good with two things - 'billable hours' and leaving us high and dry in a matter of four months. The firm he worked for didn't even notify us of his leaving until we called to confirm the "opposing" party's deposition date, which was supposed to be two days later. Would not recommend him, or the firm he worked for at all. Posted by : JCK   On: 07 Dec 2022
