Firm/Attorney Description

My New Orleans area law practice is concentrated on litigation in the areas of employment law (both plaintiff and defense), defense of civil RICO and related claims, criminal defense, and appellate law. In the employment law area I represent individuals and small and medium businesses in wrongful termination cases involving Title VII discrimination and other forms of discrimination, retaliation, non-competition, and whistleblower claims. I routinely provide ongoing employment law advice on a broad range of employment law issues to owners and managers of legal, medical, automotive, and other service businesses. In the civil RICO and fraud arena I defend individuals and small businesses, most commonly executives or professionals, from all variety of racketeering and fraud claims. My practice has also included the defense of professionals in disciplinary matters before professional boards, including attorneys, physicians, nurses, and other professionals. Finally, I also litigate selected criminal, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, and defamation matters. I have practiced in these areas for more than 16 years, including successful trial and appellate representation of individuals and businesses. My experience has included high profile cases which received local, regional, and national media exposure. I take pride in achieving positive results, frequently against well funded and high profile opponents, with cost efficient and thoughtful litigation tactics and planning.

I did not like your answer but I totally respect and appreciate the fact that you took the time to answer the question. I am not a lawyer but based on a wide range of life and learning experience I think your answer was whether I like it or not well thought out and based on sound legal knowledge. In spite of what you might have thought my question was not asked with any hope of a bonanza. I really want to see the employee and company fined and reprimanded... not quite off with their heads... I don't want a dime... I'd just like to have seen them called to account so the company nor any of its employees will feel free to repeat what to me was unwarranted verbal abuse. That though is a subjective reaction/opinion, and its unfortunate that no one thinks its necessary to require a civil code of conduct among the peoples of the world. None the less I appreciate your time and thoughts on the matter. Thank You E Smith Posted by : Emsmith51@cox.net   On: 10 Sep 2013
